This post is picture heavy.... I have lots of things to post.

I have finally finished my Jaywalker socks that don't fit. I know I've talked about them before, but I'm so bummed that they don't fit. I'm going to to try the pattern again but I'm going to modify the pattern to accommodate my high instep.

The socks are going to go to my friend Nicole. Hopefully her instep won't be as high as mine. But moving on... I've been doing some spinning. I really can't wait to get a spinning wheel I've been doing all my spinning on my drop spindle.

I'm spinning 50%/50% merino/silk roving from Ashland Bay. The color is called Sea Mist, it's mostly grey, but it also has teal and tan mixed in too. It's very pretty. I made Smokey a catnip mouse out of the handspun, he went crazy for it.

Hamlet helped me show off my Fetching gloves. The yarn is so soft and warm, which is nice this time of the year, when it's freezing outside.

I've started 2 sock knitting challenges. Well, the first on is a challenge, the 2nd is a sock club. I've taken the Franks and Marthas Sock challenge from the Loopy Ewe. I'm knitting a simple cable pattern on the socks which is mt own pattern. I'm knitting them toe up with a short row heel. They fit so good.

I've also joined the Blue Moon's Rockin' Sock Club. I'm so excited to be a member. I'll get a new sock yarn and pattern every other month for the next year. Yeah!!! I got my first kit on March 1. I love the yarn and the pattern is awesome. As soon as I'm done with my Loopy Ewe socks, I will start the Inside Out socks.

To end this post, I will leave you with some hot pictures of my boyfriend working on his truck...

I still have updating to do on my blog, but I did get a few things done.

I have pictures to post, but I need to upload them from my camera. I finally finished my jaywalker socks. They are so cute and I'm totally bummed out that I can't wear them. But like I said before, I'm going to send them to my friend Nicole, and I'm hoping that they'll fit her.

I started on my Franks and Marthas sock challenge. I'm running late for the first part of the challenge, it ends in a few weeks. If I knit like a crazy person I can finish them in time. There are 2 sock catergories in this sock challenge. The Franks like to knit crazy brite colored socks. That's the catagory I fit into. There are the Marthas too, who like darker more conservitive colors. So, this part of the challenge, wants you to step out of your normal knitting choices and choose something from your opposite category.

I have picked a really pretty royal blue/purple yarn. It's a DK weight, which is a bit thick for socks but it is knitting up really nice. They'll be good for the rest of the winter. If we have anymore crazy snowfalls like we did a few weeks ago. (Where I live in Cleveland we got 18 inches over night, which happened to be on Valentines day)

I'll post those pictures soon.

Under Construction...

My blog will be under construction for the next few days. I upgraded my blog template and some of the little thing have gotten deleted. I also want to modify the width of the page. I don't like having all that unused space on the sides.

I have pictures to post, I have joined Project Spectrum 2.0 and I have already finished some blue wrist warmers. They will be posted soon. I have also joined the Franks or Marthas knitting challenge from The Loopy Ewe. I have some oh so soft merino wool I'm going to use for my project.

I have Second Sock Syndrome with my Jaywalker socks. They are really pretty, But I can't get into them now that I know that they won't fit me. That really takes to joy out of knitting something. I don't know if they'll fit anyone else either, so I'm tempted to unravel the yarn and use it for another project. I'm just going to end up knitting the socks in the end. I just need to suck it up and do it.

The Jaywalker Tragedy

Well, I finished my first sock and have started on the second, but there is a problem... it doesn't fit. I was cursed with high insteps so I have problems wearing boots and shoes that don't have laces. I have gotten around this problem by not wearing boots and only wear shoes with laces. But, I never thought it would be a problem with my knitting because all my other socks that I have made fit me perfectly. The foot of the sock fits, if anything it's a bit roomy in the toe. But the leg won't fit over my instep and heel.

I have decided to finished the other sock. My friend Nicole wears the same shoes size as I do, so I'm hoping that they'll be able to fit her. When I make the pattern again I will use larger needles and possibly add stitches in the leg. We'll see what happens.

In other news... I got a new cell phone. Cingular totally screwed me over. I used up all my rollover minutes and I ended up going over my minutes. I was a manager and I used my phone alot for work. So I agreed to pay and worked out a payment plan with them. They told me that they would change my plan to a plan that had more minutes. Cingular never changed the plan so I went over my minutes again. So again I called them, they said that they have a new policy in place where you can't change your cell plan if you have a balance due. So they couldn't and wouldn't change my plan and I owed $450 again. They did take off about $100 to help with the payments. But the next month my phone got shut off. Cingular said that I never paid them, I had a enough. So I canceled my phone. They must be going through some changes as they are switching to At&t and It's not for the better.
So instead I went with Alltel and have that My Circle plan. it's pretty awsome. You can any 10 Phone numbers and it won't use you phone minutes. Well, anyway here are pictures of my new phone.

The Phone I got is the Samsung U520. It's an Ok phone, it's not great. It play mp3s, but you can't use mp3s as ringers. The battery life isn't that great either, I was on the phone last night and the phone just shut off, there was no warning that the battery was low. That wasn't the first time this has happened either.

This a typical night at my house. Going clockwise from top left is; Snowball, Megan, Danny, Smokey, and Hamlet. There are still 4 more not pictured.

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a really long time. I haven't been around much because, around Thanksgiving my Grandfather passed away from prostate cancer. No one know he had cancer, he didn't want it treated so he ignored it. There are still a lot of problems due to this. These types of situations bring out the worst in people.

Moving on my first FO of the year is the Viking Chicken Hat. I finished it just in time for the cold weather, just the other day it was 9 degrees. Currently right now there is a Lake Effect Snow Warning for Cleveland. We will get between 6 to 12 inches of snow tonight. Thank god I'm don't have to work tomorrow. But anywho, here are pictures of my chicken hat. I have sad news though, my boyfriend liked it so much that he stole it from me. That's alright. I can make another one, it was a really quick project.

So moving on, my next project is a pair of Jaywalker socks by Grumperina. I have wanted to knit this pattern for the longest time. So I finally decided to just do it. I'm using Lorna's Laces in the Georgetown colorway. I love it so far. I'm also going to document my progress on a daily basis.

Day 1

Day 2

Today is the 3rd day, so I won't have a picture until later. I will start turning the heel tonight if all goes well and I hope to have these socks will be done by next weekend.

Well, I gotta get going to work on my socks some more.

Summer Vacation Pictures

Hi Everyone,

This Post has a lot of pictures so I'm sorry for the slow downloading time. My friend Nicole came to visit me here in Cleveland, Thank goodness the weather was nice, it was scorching hot in California and she enjoyed the weather change.

The first night she was here we went to the Willoughby Brewing Company. They have great food and even better beer. As you can tell in the pictures I had a bit too much.

Here I am posing a Lake Erie. It smelled like rotting fish. This was less than a week after my basement flooded and the lake didn't take the flood waters well. It looked pretty though.

Nicole and I then went to Lake Farmpark. There are many more pictures from this trip. Also the Vintage Ohio Festival was going on, that is where all of the Ohio winerys get together an promote their wines. Very yummy.

Nicole and I tried to see the Star Wars exhibit at Columbus COSI museum, but the 2 times we drove there they were sold out. I was pissed, I tried to use the force on the ticket attendant, but he just looked at me like I was crazy. So we explored Columbus instead.

There is an indoor shooting range down th street from my house and I have always wanted to go. So Nicole and I took a gun saftey class and then shot up the shooting range. I'm jealous, Nicole shot better than me.

During one of our trips to Columbus, Nicole and I stopped by the Ohio State Reformatory. They have haunted tours you see they even have a tour where they lock you in the prison from 10pm to 6am. That "Ghost Hunt" is all sold out for this year. We hope to go next year. By the time we got to the prison, it was closed to the public. So we took pictures from the outside.

Here is feeding time at the zoo. With a house full of cats dinnertime can get crazy.

It was just our luck that the Indians were playing the Angels at Jacobs Field. The Angels are Nicole and my favorite team. (being from Cali and all) But the Angels got their butts whooped, but we still had alot of fun.
The marble balls were outside The Q (formerly Gund Arena) and we decided to play on them.

On our other trip to Columbus, we found the very first Wendy's Resturant ever. It was like a Wendy's museum inside the resturant. The staff got upset with us taking pictures, so there aren't many to show.

I have always wanted a dressform, and it helps alot if you have one the correct size and shape of your body. So Nicole and I took a stabe at making our body doubles. Mine still has not been finished. I still have to stuff it. Also Hammy got some kitty love in between tapings.

On our way back from Columbus, surpisingly Nicole introduced me to Steak'n'Shake. Living in Ohio all these years I had never been. It was so good. About the equivalent to In'n'Out Buger.

One of Nicole's last days here we went to Buca Di Beppo with Teri and Tommy. That was the first time Nicole had met them. We had so much fun.

And finally Nicole had to return back home. I was sad to see her go. But we did see a funny sign on the freeway on the way to the airport.

Here are some other random pictures. Me going to work, Meghan getting a tummy rub, My new hair cut and color I got done last week, and Those horrible stairs that I broke my wrist on.
